3RD CLINICAL BLOG

At clinicals the last few weeks we have been very busy. Recently a 48 year old female presented to the emergency department with pain between shoulder blades and chest pain. She was scanned using a pulmonary embolism protocol. She was injected with Omniaque 350 @ 4.o cc per second. She was diagnosed with multiple pulmonary emoblis and was admitted to the hospital for blood thinning treatments.

2nd CLINCIAL BLOG

It has been a little bit hectic at clinicals. We have been very busy. We are a little short on help with 2 of the 3 pregnant women at work having already delivered their babies. I recently had a 21 year old male with cystic fibrosis. He is on oxygen at home continuously. This was just a follow up to see how his disease is progressing. Since I did my pathology on cystic fibrosis, it was interesting to have this man come in for a CT.
